With the BMW now repaired it was time to head down to Brand Hatch to improve upon Donington.
After completing Free Practice 1, it was evident that we had some work to do to find a setup that worked for me around the short circuit. First adjusting the front and then the rear.
I just about made it through qualifying, still needing some significant changes to be able to push in the race. I crossed the finish line last for Race 1. Unable to put a decent lap together.
We made some changes overnight for Race 2 and even though the warm up was hampered by traffic, the direction we took looked to be going in the right direction.
I finished 33rd in Race 2 with my personal best lap of Brands Indy coming through on lap 20 of 22.
Although the results don’t say much on paper, we left Brands Indy with a base setting to work from when we return to the circuit. We ended the weekend being able to lap consistently in the mid to low 48’s instead of fighting the bike with 49’s and 50’s.
Round 3 will be held at Oulton Park. Shouldn’t be too difficult to improve on this weekends results.
