Things have changed. The TV is now the Radio and the Phone is now the TV.
The way people consume information has changed significantly and if you remain stagnant then you are no longer relevant. Being relevant is what enables you to create opportunities so the right thing to do is to go with it and not against it.
The reality is that you don’t follow websites, you follow social accounts and the need for a singing and dancing personal website is nothing more than extra workload, maintenance and repetition.
boyd92.co.uk is my notepad, designed to fill in the gaps and provide more depth to the snippets and headlines that make social media. It is to compliment my social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and (eventually) Youtube by providing race reports, insights and development throughout the seasons to come.
At the time of writing my social relevance is essentially zero. This is one of the things I wish to change throughout the 2017 season. Along with attempting to take the Superstock 1000 Championship, I have some pretty ambitious plans to develop my online presence, some which may go well and others that may not. A little bit of trial and error and some consistency for good measure.
The season kicks off in March when myself and the JDR team head to Cartagena, Spain for our pre-season
suntan test to lead into our opening round at Donington Park, 31st March. The S1000RR is still in pieces waiting for the final chosen parts to arrive so until they arrive, all we can do is wait.
